I am a real estate agent in Javea, I started my business 7 years ago (2010) in the middle of the major downturn in property sales. I focused my business on long term rentals, during the recession this was a reasonably buoyant market.
Spain has enticed Northern Europeans for decades with the promise of a more relaxed way of life in the sun. With over 60 million tourists visiting Spain every year the countries short term and holiday rental market is defying the property market downturn and continuing to grow.
The ownership side of the property market has cooled down since the worldwide recession after an impressive 10 year boom. However, it`s a different story with holiday and short term rental showing a healthy and strong market.
Many people may have noticed just how popular they have become with a whole host of friends and relatives since they made the move to Javea. This is all wonderful as you will get to see your loved ones at least once a year.
It’s almost that time of year again, when we dig out the flip flops, dust off the factor zero sizzle cream and start planning our summer jollies. The problem is that many of us have less disposable income than ever before, and are having to take the belts in a few notches at a time. We are making more cutbacks and making more savings than ever before, yet there is a distinct reluctance for us Brits to give up our holidays, we are just getting more savvy about saving money in this area too.
New homes construction booming along the Costa Blanca
The fact that the Alicante region saw an increase of over 300% of new homes during last year proves that the housing market in the Costa Blanca region is beginning to grow.
Javea is a great place to select for a holiday. It has a vibrant, welcoming culture and plenty of great beaches to enjoy during the long, warm months. The town is also bustling with activities and there are plenty of places to eat and bars to keep you busy for weeks. Unfortunately this also makes it a very desirable destination for people from all over Europe and the rest of the world. As such, it does not offer the ‘cheap and cheerful’ accommodation found in other resort towns on the coast. Because of this, it is pretty important to take care and try to keep costs at a reasonable level.
Huge numbers of people come over to Javea and the Northern Costa Blanca for a well earned holiday and their thoughts may start to turn towards what would it be like to own a holiday property here.
